About MyGov

MyGov is a citizen engagement platform launched by the Government of India on July 26, 2014 to promote the active participation of Indian citizens in their country’s governance and development. It is aimed at creating a common platform for Indian citizens to “crowdsource governance ideas from citizens”.


Its users discuss and contribute to various government projects and plans. It also allows users to upload documents in various formats. The website is hosted and managed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC). Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the aim was to reduce the long gap developed between the electorate and the Executive after being elected.

 In the first week of August 2014, MyGov received 100,000 registered users, barely two weeks after its initiation. Google became the first multinational firm to collaborate with MyGov. Shortly before his first address to the nation through All India Radio, it was announced that ideas and questions for the Prime Minister submitted to MyGov may be responded to in subsequent radio addresses.

The website also has an associated mobile app.

Terms and Conditions

  • This Online Quiz is a skill-based online competition in which participants are asked to submit correct answers to a set of questions.
  • Each question in the quiz is in the Multiple-Choice Format and has only one correct answer.
  • Each question carries 1 mark. Participants are required to attempt all the questions in total.
  • Participants are allowed to attempt the quiz only once and only one option will be accepted for a particular question.
  • After responding to a question, click on the “Next Question” button to go to the next question.
  • No negative marking will be done.
  • After attempting all the questions, a final submission should be clicked.
  • Certificate will be issued to all the participants.
  • Directors, officers, and employees of the Sponsor and its parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliates, and any participating vendors, professional advisors, advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate families and those living in the same household of the foregoing are not eligible to enter the Quiz. Any Quiz entry that violates these Official Rules, applicable laws or regulations, or entrant’s employer’s or institution’s policies will be deemed ineligible.
